On a beautiful Saturday in April, Kim and Kole tied the knot in an unforgettable celebration at THE 101. From the moment they met at Kim’s birthday party—where a DJ mishap led to Kole stepping in and saving the day—it’s clear that their love story was destined to be unique and filled with serendipity.
As a full-service planning client, Kim and Kole entrusted 828 Planning with every detail of their special day, and we were thrilled to bring their vision to life. The wedding featured elegant black decor pillars, a fun game bundle, and stunning draping that set a sophisticated tone for the evening.
A Celebration in Burgundy and Gold
The color scheme of burgundy and gold created a rich, warm ambiance that was both romantic and regal. Kim’s cousin crafted breathtaking floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the decor, adding a personal touch that highlighted the importance of family in their celebration.
Personalized Touches
Kim and Kole infused their personalities into every aspect of the wedding. As the ceremony began, guests were greeted with welcome champagne and cider at the bar. Custom bar napkins imprinted with weed leaves paid homage to the significance of their wedding date, 4/20, adding a playful and memorable detail.
Their beloved dog, Buddy, was prominently displayed on the welcome table, ensuring he was part of the celebration even in spirit. Kim’s son played a pivotal role, walking her down the aisle and later sharing a special dance with her, moments that touched everyone’s hearts.

Despite the best-laid plans, the unpredictable Seattle traffic caused a delay. The officiant arrived nearly an hour late, but thanks to our quick-thinking backup officiant, the ceremony proceeded smoothly. Kim and Kole’s ability to stay calm and positive through this hiccup was a testament to their wonderful nature and love for each other.
